In 1850, Brause started in Iserlohn, a place in the Ruhr industrial area in German, where it’s famous for high quality steels and proficient technicians. Over the century, Brause focus on development and manufacture of nib pens and nibs. Its well writing quality and various designs of nib collections makes Brause favorable to the Western writers, and earns it the title of the best nib pen.
All Brause nibs use high graded cold rolled steel of the Ruhr, and hand adjusted by the technicians to ensure the smooth flow of ink. Antitrust and thermal treatment is applied to each nib according to its individual rigidity and flexibility. Brause has now produced over 400 different types of nibs to fulfill all needs of drawing and calligraphy.
