ICO is formed with a team of 18 craftsmens in 1951 Hungary. The company's major business was fountain pen repair initially, until received a permission of producing 5000 fountain pens a year from the government in 1952. ICO began importing materials in 1957, and started the production of Retro pen in 1970.
